Dish Pulls Locally Owned and Operated, WISH-TV and MYINDY-TV from Their Line-Up and Their Subscribers

INDIANAPOLIS – October 4, 2019 – On October 04, 2019, at 6:59PM (EDT), DISH removed locally owned and operated WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23 from their lineup. The stations worked hard to reach a new agreement but were unsuccessful.

DISH has made this change as a result of the new local ownership of WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV. Last month, Circle City Broadcasting announced the acquisition of WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23, making the two stations Central Indiana’s only locally owned and operated television stations.

WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23 are important assets to the Central Indiana community. WISH-TV provides viewers 75 hours per week of local news and local programming, more than any other television station in Indiana, and among the most of any station in the country. MyINDY-TV provides a bevy of local and regional sports, including live local high school football games, Indy Eleven, and Indiana Fever. As of now, these stations’ premier news, weather, traffic, political coverage, sports, and other national programming that’s important to viewers is unavailable to DISH subscribers.

Viewers may continue to watch their favorite local programming over-the-air via antenna or by switching to an alternative pay-TV provider.
